[Update]: The greatly improved Death Stranding Director's Cut has now landed onto PC as a $10 upgrade

If you're itching to get your hands on even more Kojima-branded weirdness, you'll be happy to hear Death Stranding is getting a Director's Cut edition. This new version will come as a $10 upgrade for existing owners and will add a variety of new equipment like the cargo catapult or buddy bot, smoother controls and better melee combat, new missions and storylines, as well as UI improvements.

So far Death Stranding Director's Cut has only been announced for PlayStation 5, though it's highly likely that it'll appear on PC at some point as well. The PlayStation 5 version of the Director’s Cut is slated to arrive on September 24, 2021, so we'll likely hear more information about the PC version around that time.

As for what exactly all of these new features look like in action, that you can find out through the recently posted trailer. Have a gander, it's pretty exciting stuff:

Once we get more information, ideally alongside the announcement of a PC version, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, I'm afraid all we can do is sit and wait.
