Dead or Alive 6 made its way to PC and consoles on March 1st alongside some rather mixed reviews. Some are complaining about its lack of content and overpriced Season Pass, while others are praising its combat style and gameplay pace, and that's just the broad strokes. Things haven't become much clearer since then either, so trying to figure out whether Dead or Alive 6 is the game for you is a bit of a tricky task.

Thankfully, much like Dead or Alive 5, Dead or Alive 6 has now added a free-to-play version as well. So if you're up for getting some hands-on experience with Dead or Alive 6 and seeing what exactly it's all about, you should hop on over to Steam.

Naturally, the free-to-play version does have some pretty severe limitations, the most notable of which is that the roster consists of only four characters: Kasumi, Hitomi, Diego and Bass. To get access to the rest you will either need to purchase them individually, or simply buy the full version of Dead or Alive 6.

While similar limitations apply to the story mode, I am glad to say that most of the other game modes are fully functional in the free-to-play version. In other words, you can spend as much time as you want in the ranked, versus, arcade, time attack, training and quest modes, all without ever touching your wallet. Not a bad deal, all things considered.

You can learn more about Dead or Alive 6 and its new free-to-play version, as well as give it a try yourself, by visiting Steam. Have fun, and I'll leave you with the trailer for the free-to-play version:
