Darksiders 3 screenshot of Fury from The Crucible DLC

[Update]: The second major DLC Keepers of the Void will be coming to PC and consoles this July.

If you're a fan of Darksiders 3's combat and you're looking for a fresh excuse to beat up some demons, you might be interested to hear that the combat-focused DLC "The Crucible" has now arrived. As you might imagine, The Crucible is essentially one giant arena battle where you'll have to cleave through wave after wave of increasingly more difficult enemies in order to get better and better loot.

There are 101 waves in total, and depending on how far you go, you can expect to receive new armor sets and enhancements, as well as a variety of crafting materials to help beef up your arsenal. You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks like in gameplay terms through the recently posted trailer down below. Have a gander:

I've tried The Crucible back in Darksiders 2, and while I'm not exactly a fan of 'endless' combat, the concept itself is perfectly fine. So if you're looking to challenge yourself and see just how far you can push things before the onslaught of enemies becomes too much, The Crucible might be worth a closer look. Just don't go into it expecting to see a bunch of new storylines, because The Crucible really is all about the combat!

You can learn more about The Crucible, as well as Darksiders 3 itself, over at Steam. Have fun smacking demons around!
