Darkest Dungeon official artwork for The Color of Madness DLC

[Update]: Darkest Dungeon 2 is heading into Early Access on October 26, 2021

If you're interested in getting even more playtime out of Darkest Dungeon, you might want to check out the newly released The Color of Madness DLC. While it doesn't expand upon the story in any major way, it does bring with it an Endless Quest mode, an all new faction of corrupted farmers, three new bosses, four new districts, and naturally, a whole bunch of items and quirks to toy around with.

You can get a bit of a sneak peek at what all of this looks like in-game through the recently posted trailer down below. Have a look, it's a short but interesting video:

I haven't had the time to play it myself, but from what I've seen online the community opinions are currently quite divided, as you would expect from an entire DLC centered around an endless mode. In other words, if you're not a fan of grinding and you prefer to have some context behind your rampage, then chances are The Color of Madness is not going to be up your alley. On the other hand, if you enjoy Darkest Dungeon's combat and wish to get even more of it, then this is definitely a DLC you should check out.
