Cyanide Studios, developers you might be familiar with from their work on Blood Bowl and Styx: Master of Shadows, are currently working on a video game adaptation of the classic pen&paper RPG Call of Cthulhu. As you might imagine given the the topic and otherworldly horrors present within, madness is something our character is going to be constantly brushing against in his never-ending search for the truth, no matter how terrible it truly is.

So if you're looking for even a brief glimpse at what Call of Cthulhu has to offer, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. While it won't give you much in terms of gameplay footage, it does a rather good job of setting up the proper atmosphere for a Lovecraftian horror story. Have a look:

The Call of Cthulhu RPG will be arriving at some point in 2017 for the PC and consoles, though no exact date has been given just yet. Unfortunately, the same applies to any sort of gameplay details, so if you were hoping to find out more I'm afraid I will have to disappoint you for now.

On the positive side, the developers did recently release a whole bunch of rather intriguing images, so if you're interested in those you should definitely head over here. And if you would like to keep up with the game's development I would recommend you head over to the official website, though do bear in mind that its currently extremely bare-bones.
