Crysis 2 artwork without logo

In an announcement that might not come as too much of a surprise given the Nvidia leaks from a while ago, Crytek has now revealed that they are working on the long-awaited Crysis 4! Right now Crysis 4 is still in the early stages of development so there's sadly no actual details to share, but what I can tell you is that the team is trying to make it a "truly next-gen shooter."

It's pretty much the same situation as with Blizzard's freshly unveiled survival game, though this time around we at least have a small teaser trailer! Have a peek, though don't expect to see anything in terms of real gameplay:

Personally, I'm hoping Crytek will focus the majority of their attention on the gameplay instead of the visuals this time around. Because while Crysis 3 ended up being gorgeous to look at, the gameplay was just kind of 'there' for the most part. And for a game where you get to play around with an absolutely ridiculous suit of armor, 'generic' should be the last word you'd ever use to describe the gameplay!

Whatever the future may bring, I'll make sure to let you know once the full reveal goes live. Until then, you can read a little bit more about Crytek's plans for the future over at the official website.
