Conan Unconquered screenshot of a base under attack

Conan Unconquered is an upcoming strategy game in the vein of They are Billions. In other words, you can expect to spend most of your time building up an impenetrable stronghold, collecting resources and fighting natural disasters, as well as fending off wave after wave of bloodthirsty barbarians that would love nothing more than to torch your entire city and dance on its ashes.

If you're wondering how all of this looks like in gameplay terms, as well as what exactly you can even do in Conan Unconquered, you'll find the answers you seek in the recently posted developer preview. Have a gander, it's quite an informative one:

While Conan Unconquered certainly looks a bit clunky, what with some of the units constantly running in place, the actual gameplay seems to be a good bit of fun. I especially love the variety of enemies shown so far, with each one seemingly having their own unique way of attacking your base. After all, who doesn't love a fighting a giant snake monster! That said, I can only hope Conan Unconquered will managed to balance out all of its enemies and mechanics, as even a couple being overpowered could easily mess up the whole experience.

Whatever the case may be, we'll find out soon enough as Conan Unconquered will be coming to PC this May 30th. You can learn more about it, as well as follow its development moving forward, over at Steam.
