Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be arriving this October 12th for both PC and consoles. While it will not feature a traditional singleplayer campaign, Black Ops 4 will bring with it various story-focused solo missions, the usual batch of multiplayer shenanigans including a massive new Battle Royale game mode, and naturally, a new and improved Zombies mode.

So if you're curious about what sort of insane abominations you'll be fighting against this time, as well as where Black Ops 4 differs from its predecessors, allow me to share with you the recently posted and fairly lengthy in-game trailer. Have a look, it really is quite an interesting video:

Unsurprisingly, the new Zombies mode looks downright spectacular. In fact, it's so intriguing that I'm genuinely starting to wonder why the team dedicated to the Zombies mode is still chained to the Call of Duty series. With a bit more time and a lot more resources, the Zombies mode could fairly easily be expanded into a fully standalone co-op experience, perfect for people like me who just don't care about the usual Call of Duty multiplayer. I doubt that's ever going to happen as the Zombies mode is likely a major contributor to Call of Duty's continued success, but it's certainly interesting to think about just how much greater the mode could become.

My little musings aside, you can learn more about Black Ops 4, as well as its Zombies and Blackout Battle Royale modes, by visiting the official website. And as a final note, here are the PC system recommendations, just in case.
