If you've enjoyed Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's unexpected crossover with Ubisoft's Child of Light that added Aurora as a playable character, you'll be happy to hear that the Bloodstained team has just gone for round two! However, instead of adding an extra character, time around they have released a brand new level inspired by the highly atmospheric adventure Journey!

The newly added section of the castle, The Tunnels, is themed after the imagery and level design of Journey, though with a bit of a Bloodstained twist. Unsurprisingly, this also means the big bad boss waiting for you at the end of The Tunnels is a giant construct reminiscent of Journey's Guardians!

In order to access The Tunnels and all of the new content you will first need to free Gabel and unlock the Den of Behemoths. Once that is done you'll be able to find the hidden doorway leading to The Tunnels on the world map. Simply head on over to the highlighted location and you'll be ready to start your adventure in no time.

Should you manage to defeat the boss you'll be granted a special Journey-inspired equippable item - the iconic scarf. Much like the rest of the equipment in Bloodstained, the new scarf simply offers a couple of stat boosts to help you on your way. So if you're not ready to explore the new area, or if you simply have no interest, you can ignore it without any sort of repercussions.

You can read a little bit more about the crossover update, as well as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night in general, over at the official website. Enjoy!
