Much like the relatively recent Update 15, The Elder Scrolls Online's upcoming Clockwork City patch will come in two parts: one entirely free for all players, and the other exclusive to those that buy the DLC. In terms of free content you're looking at a new Battlegrounds game mode for ESO: Morrowind, Xbox One X support, as well as a host of balance changes, bug fixes, and some much needed quality of life improvements.

The Clockwork City DLC itself, however, offers much more interesting features. It'll bring with it a brand new and rather beautiful zone to explore, a new story quest revolving around a Daedra conspiracy that will send you to the heart of the machine realm, a new fast-paced Trial designed to challenge even the most seasoned of veterans, and naturally, a variety of new enemies to beat up along the way.

If you're interested in all of the details, and there are quite a few revealed so far, you should head over to the official website as Bethesda has prepared a somewhat brief, yet still highly informative blog post. As for the release date, you can expect to see the Clockwork City DLC pack this fall, though no exact date has been given just yet. And finally, it is also worth noting that the DLC will be available for free to all ESO Plus subscribers, while everyone else will have to grab it through the Crown Store.
