Battlefield 5 was supposed to arrive this October 19th for PC and consoles, but according to the latest blog post it has now been delayed in order to ensure it's as polished as it can be. You won't have to wait for too much longer, however, as Battlefield 5's new release date has been pinned on November 20th.

"We’re going to take the time to continue to make some final adjustments to core gameplay, and to ensure we really deliver on the potential of Tides of War," reads the developer update. "We know moving the launch date means that we all have to wait a little longer. But we’re going to take our time to make sure we get it right."

Besides giving the developers more time to address beta feedback and correct any problems, this delay also makes a lot of sense when you consider what type of games Battlefield 5 was originally supposed to launch alongside. Black Ops 4 is arriving on October 12th, while Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming on October 26th, both of which would have provide some serious competition for Battlefield 5. So while it might suck having to wait for a while long, I do believe the delay will end up working out in everyone's favor.

And speaking of the beta, you might be interested to hear that Battlefield 5 will be having an Open Beta from September 6th. You can learn more, as well as join the beta once the gates finally open, by vising the official website. And just for good measure, allow me to send you off with one of the recent trailers. Enjoy!
