Awesome Games Done Quick 2016 schedule has been revealed as well as its starting date of January 3

If this is your first time hearing about AGDQ it is a week long event where speed-runners from all over the world gather to raise money for charity by completely breaking games and being really fast while doing so. Seeing your favorite games broken and beaten within 20 minutes while also supporting charity, what's not to like about it?

And if you were wondering what games will be ran in the upcoming January 3 Awesome Games Done Quick, a schedule has been recently posted giving you all of the specifics on which games will be present and when they will be showcased.

If you end up having some free time around January 3 I would suggest you tune in because the event has been an absolute blast to watch every single year since its inception. There is something enthralling about watching runners explain how exactly they've invented certain glitches or skips that cut the length of a game that might've taken you 30 hours to beat in to a more manageable 20 minutes.

Also let's not forget all of the crazy runs that happen on account of these players knowing far more than any sane person should know about a game. For example, most people would say that Dark Souls is a difficult game but how many would be willing to attempt to beat it by having two players using one controller? That actually happened during the recent Summer Games Done Quick and it was a thing of beauty to behold.

Awesome Games Done Quick will start this January 3, at 11:30 AM EST / 16:30 PM UTC and I'd recommend you tune in to the Twitch stream, you won't be bored that's for sure.
