Attack on Titan is a currently insanely popular anime about a bunch of acrobats fighting against hordes of naked giants with a taste for human flesh, and no, I'm not actually exaggerating. Given its worldwide popularity it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that there is a video game adaptation in the works - A.O.T. Wings of Freedom.

From what is known so far, Wings of Freedom will give you the opportunity to follow the first season's story and its main characters, customize your Titan-slaying gear in a variety of ways, and naturally, slice up Titans in either singleplayer or multiplayer. If you're wondering what all of this looks like in gameplay terms, here's the recently posted "Decisive Battle" trailer:

As you may have noticed throughout the video, the newly announced Scout Mode will function as an online co-op mode and allow you to venture outside of the walls with three other companions. Before setting off, however, you will have a chance to upgrade your gear, change up your costumes, and prepare your resources for the fight ahead. Once finally ready, you will be able to chose from a variety of missions that take place on "familiar" stages, all of which are separate from the main campaign. While this hasn't been officially confirmed, I have a feeling the Scout Mode is going to be the "end-game" for Wings of Freedom as it seems to put quite a large emphasis on group play and progression, while mostly disregarding the "proper story".

A.O.T. Wings of Freedom will be arriving for the PC, Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and PS Vita on August 26. If you're interested in learning more, or just want to look at creepy Titans, head over to the official website.
