Assassin's Creed Origins: The Curse of the Pharaohs DLC screenshot of the Anubis boss fight

If you would like to extend your Assassin's Creed Origins playthrough with a variety of new action-packed missions, you might be interested to hear that The Curse of the Pharahos DLC is set to arrive later today. It'll bring with it a brand new zone to explore, a variety of quests filled with colorful characters, and perhaps most importantly, some rather interesting enemies to fight against. As you can probably guess from the title alone, I'm talking about mummies, giant scorpions and extremely angry pharaohs that are capable of wielding powerful magic against you!

You can get a good peek at what all of this looks like in-game through the recently posted launch trailer. If you're only in it for the action, however, just skip to the later half of the video as that's where all of the truly bizarre stuff starts popping up. Have a gander:

As for our hero Bayek, there will be numerous new abilities to unlock, as well as a variety of rare and legendary gear to hunt down. You will also be able to increase your level to 55, but don't worry about becoming too overpowered as Ubisoft has stated that the DLC while be a challenge to even high-level players. Whether that's going to end up being correct or not, we'll find out soon enough as The Curse of the Pharaohs DLC is coming later today, on March 13th.

You can learn more about the upcoming DLC, or just Assassins Creed Origins itself, by heading over to the official website. As for the price tag, The Curse of the Pharaohs will be available as a part of the Season Pass, or as an individual purchase for €20/$20. A bit too pricey for my tastes, but I suppose it all depends on how much content we're going to be able to play around with.
