If you've gotten tired of all those dinosaurs and dragons roaming the land and you need a bit of something special to spice up your gameplay, you'll be glad to hear that Ark: Survival Evolved's long awaited "TEK Tier" Patch 254 is now finally available. The update has brought with it some completely ridiculous technology such as head-mounted lasers and jetpacks, four new dinosaurs to potentially tame, and most amusingly of all, the ability to joust with other players!

Since all of this is a bit difficult to explain through a single paragraph, allow me to instead show you the recently posted preview trailer. It will give you a pretty damn good idea of what the TEK tier of technology is capable off, as well as what the new dinosaurs look like. If all of this looks like something you would love to mess around with, but you don't actually own Ark or its expansion, you're in luck as the developers have just launched a week-long sale. Ark: Survival Evolved is currently 67% off, while its expansion Scorched Earth is 51% off. Why in the world they chose those exact numbers, I have no idea, but I guess there's not much sense complaining about slightly bigger discounts.
