Apex Legends artwork for Valkyrie

[Update #2]: Apex Legends has nerfed the newly added Bocek Bow along with the Spitfire.

[Update]: The massive Season 9 update has now brought in Valkyrie, Arenas and plenty of server issues!

The rather massive Season 9 - Legacy update will be heading over to Apex Legends on May 4, 2021. It'll bring with it Valkyrie as a brand new Legend, the medium-ranged Bocek Bow, a slight overhaul of Olympus, an action-focused new Arena game mode, and naturally, an absolute ton of balance changes and gameplay tweaks!

First things first, Respawn has now finally spilled the beans on Valkyrie! While not quite as versatile as Titanfall 2's Northstar, Valkyrie shares many of its abilities and as such is already looking like an incredibly fun Legend to mess around with. As for what she looks like in actual gameplay, that you can find out through the new reveal trailer:

Speaking of gameplay, you'll also be glad to hear Respawn has now released an extended preview showing off just what the new Arena game mode is all about. Have a gander, it's pretty informative one:

The final thing worth mentioning is that Respawn has also released the full patch notes for Season 9 - Legacy. There's far too many changes to cover in brief, but if I were to choose one to highlight over all others, it would be the tweak to the initial dropship flight path that makes it so most of the map will be used in every match, rather than just a small chunk. A simple change on paper, but one that will definitely make for more interesting games.

As for the rest of bug fixes and balance changes, that you can find out over at the EA website. Enjoy, it's a remarkably good patch!
