Dead Rising 1 screenshot for the PC version

With Dead Rising 1, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record all coming over to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 13th, it makes perfect sense that the PC will also be getting Dead Rising 1 in order to complete the series.

As noted on the recently updated Steam page, Dead Rising 1 will arrive on PC with a brand new save system that supports five save slots, native controller support, resolution settings that extend to 4K and beyond, uncapped frame rate and support for 144Hz monitors, customizable keybinds (something that's a rarity these days), and finally, Russian localization.

Since finding a high quality trailer of Dead Rising 1 is nearly impossible these days, here's the recent Anniversary Announcement Trailer that features bits of gameplay from the updated version of Dead Rising 1:

Whether Dead Rising 1 is good or not, I'm afraid I can't tell you since I joined the series with Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, but from a cursory glance at the various Internet forums it does appear to be one of the more popular games in the series. The majority of the praise goes towards the impromptu feel of the combat given that you can't just glue random bits of furniture together in order to create an overpowered chainsaw axe, you have to fight with what you can find laying around, which I have to admit does sound pretty damn cool.

If you would like to try it out for yourself, Dead Rising 1 will be coming over to Steam on September 13th at a €20/$20 price tag.
