[Update #2]: After six months of Epic Games Store exclusivity, Borderlands 3 has now also made its way to Steam.

[Update]: Borderlands 3's next DLC Guns, Love and Tentacles is set to arrive this March 26th, and it will be available on Steam as well.

Borderlands 3 released back in September of 2019 for both PC and consoles, with the PC version being exclusive to the Epic Games Store. This exclusivity is now coming to an end, however, so you can expect Borderlands 3 to also make its way to Steam on March 13th.

Since fragmenting the playerbase is a real concern, I'm happy to say that Gearbox has confirmed there will be cross-play on PC. In other words, it doesn't matter if you or your friends own Borderlands 3 on Steam or the Epic Store, you'll still be able to play together.

As for whether Borderlands 3 is even worth the trouble, that's a bit of a tricky question to answer. It's not a bad game by any stretch, but personally I just don't feel like it lives up to the golden standard set by Borderlands 2, especially in terms of writing. Still, Borderlands 3 is a pretty darn solid looter-shooter, so if you have a couple of friends willing to dive in with you, it's probably worth checking out.

Whatever your opinion on the matter may be, you can keep track of Borderlands 3 over at Steam. And just for good measure, I'll leave you with the launch trailer. Enjoy!
