Back in September all of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine's DLC content was released as a free update. Back then I considered it nothing more than one last hurrah from an awesome game, but as it turns out it may have been a teaser of something quite exciting - a brand new sequel!

You heard that right! Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have now come out to announce Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - a third-person action game that will see Captain Titus of the Ultramarines face off against hordes upon hordes of Tyranids!

The actual gameplay details are currently shrouded in mystery, but you can get a bit of an idea of the sort of tone the team is going for through the recently posted cinematic trailer. Have a gander:

I would love to tell you more as I'm quite curious myself, but I'm afraid we'll have to wait for a while longer before we can learn what Space Marine 2 will be really all about. The only actual bit of information I can reveal is that Space Marine 2 will be releasing onto PC, PlayStation and Xbox at some point in the hopefully not too distant future.
