Much like the Zelda series from which it seems to draw a great deal of inspiration, Windbound is a colorful and charming action-adventure. As you wonder from island to island you'll need to craft tools and weapons in order to both hunt and defend yourself, slowly but surely upgrade your seacraft to help navigate ever-more treacherous waters, and naturally, try to unravel the mystery behind it all.

You can get a pretty good idea of just what this entails through two of the recent trailers. The first one sets up the mystery and atmosphere, while the second one is a developer-guided preview that's all about the gameplay. Have a peek:

If after watching that you're now eager to give Windbound a try, you'll be happy to hear you won't have to wait for all that long. To be more specific, Windbound will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch this August 28th!
