While its updates may be slow, Ultrakill more than makes up for it with sheer quality. Nowhere is this more apparent than with the freshly launched Act 2: Imperfect Hatred as it brings with it two sizable new layers to explore, a variety of quality of life improvements and balance changes (sorry whiplash fans), as well as some downright awesome new bosses to square off against.

There is unfortunately no preview showing off the new levels in action, but you can get a pretty good idea of the direction the story is heading in through the release trailer below. Have a gander:

Most of the balance changes and improvements are ultra-specific, so there's sadly not much point in trying to summarize them. As such, if you're interested in the exact details, you can find what you seek over at patch notes.

For those of you that are completely new to Ultrakill and currently wondering what this game is all about and whether it might be up your alley, you'll be happy to hear that there is a free demo available. You can give it a try by heading over to Steam, and I would heartily recommend you do so if you love over-the-top shooty action.
