Gloomwood Thief inspired stealth immersive sim official artwork without logo

If you're a fan of exploring highly intricate levels and taking out your enemies through the use of stealth and subterfuge, you might want to keep an eye on the freshly released Gloomwood. To put it quite simply, much the like Thief series from which it takes a great deal of inspiration, Gloomwood is an immersive stealth-horror FPS that's all about creatively solving problems.

What this looks like in action, as well as what sort of nonsense you can get up to, that you can get a pretty good idea of through the trailer below. Have a gander:

Before you get too excited, it's worth mentioning that Gloomwood has only just launched into Early Access, and as such is very unfinished. In fact, there's only a couple of hours of gameplay in the current version, so it's more of a paid teaser than a fully fledged game. That said, even in its earliest state Gloomwood already shows a great deal of promise, so if you're a fan of the genre this is a game you'll definitely want to occasionally check up on.

For now, however, I'd still recommend staying away as there simply isn't enough content on offer to truly satisfy you. After a couple of new maps have been added, and ideally some of the issues ironed out, then you could consider jumping onboard.

Whatever your plans may be, you can learn more about Gloomwood and its updates over at Steam. Enjoy!
