They are Billions is a steampunk strategy game with a very simple premise: the world is littered with billions of zombies and so you need to do whatever you can in order to survive. This means gathering resources in order to build up mighty defenses and to field a large army, creating a variety of buildings to help support your economy and to give your people a place to live, and then somehow trying to keep your over-stretched empire alive as the undead start pouring in from every corner of the map.

After spending a fair bit of time in Steam Early Access, They are Billions has now released in full, bringing with it a brand new singleplayer campaign. Here's what you can expect to see in terms of storytelling, as well as a small preview of what They Are Billions as a whole has to offer:

While They Are Billions was and still is a pretty darn entertaining game, it would appear that the campaign itself has ended up being a bit of a disappointment. I haven't played it myself so take the following with a few grains of salt, but from what I can figure out it seems that the difficulty curve is all over the place, while the actual mission objectives are simple and straightforward at best, and extremely annoying at worst.

That said, the developers are well aware of the problems, and have already released the first update in order to correct some of the bigger ones. There's still a lot of work that needs to be done, however, so you might want to stick to the survival mode for at least a little while longer.
