A few years have past since Mordhau was successfully funded on Kickstarer, but the long wait is now thankfully over as Mordhau has just made its way to PC. As you would imagine from the preview image alone, Mordhau is a medieval, melee-focused multiplayer game that aims to be as faithful to the time period as possible. 

Since trying to explain combat-focused games through words alone is a bit of a pointless venture, allow me to share with you the recently posted gameplay video showcasing a knight rampaging through the front lines. Have a gander, it's quite a fun one:

I haven't played Mordhau myself so take the following with a few grains of salt, but from what I can tell it appears that Mordau is actually pretty good! The weapons have a nice bit of weight to them, the combat is easy to pick up but difficult to master, and perhaps most importantly, there is enough weapon variety present so that you can easily pick and choose the type of playstyle you enjoy. It might be a bit janky, but it really does seem like Mordhau has managed to nail exactly what it set out to do - the melee combat.

As far as problems are concerned, the biggest one right now are the servers themselves. Besides the usual complaints about lag and disconnects, there's quite a few reports of players not being able to get into a game at all. So if you're planning on grabbing Mordhau, I'd highly recommend waiting for a couple of weeks until all of the initial problems get sorted out. The developers are well aware of them, so it's pretty much just a waiting game at this point.
