Hollow Knight is a hand-drawn 2D action adventure that will have you face off against monstrous hordes of enemies throughout a vast and interconnected world. It was successfully Kickstarted back in 2014, and after a refreshingly drama-free development period it has now finally arrived for PC and Mac.

I haven't had the chance to play it myself, so take the following with a few grains of salt, but according to the Steam reviews Hollow Knight is an extremely solid game. Outside of complaints about the occasionally clunky camera all I'm seeing is praise for Hollow Knight's Metroidvania design, combat mechanics, visuals, and focus on exploration. So if you're looking for a Metroidvania game to really sink your teeth into, then Hollow Knight might just be the one for you.
