[Update]: Slime-covered yet adorable Slime Rancher 2 is heading into Early Access on September 22, 2022.

Slime Rancher, as you might imagine, is a charming first-person 'farm simulator' where you will have to capture and take care of a variety of adorable little slimes. In many ways it is similar to Harvest Moon, though instead of growing crops and raising chickens in order to make a bit of a profit, you'll be using them to feed your constantly growing repertoire of colorful slime.

It first arrived to Steam Early Access back in early 2016, and after numerous updates and a highly positive review score it appears that Slime Rancher is finally ready to release in full. The launch date is pinned for August 1st, and if you currently have a farm running there's no need to worry, your save file and everything in it will carry over to the full version.

Besides a variety of quality of life improvements and bug fixes, the release version will also bring with it some new content. There will be a map system to better let you explore the world, an Iron Rancher mode for those of you that seek challenging content and vampiric chickens, Casual Mode for those of you that just want to mess around with the colorful slime, a variety of new toys and missions, and the list goes on.

To learn more about Slime Rancher, or just grab yourself a copy, you should head over to Steam.
