Tala adventure game screenshot of some mushrooms and our protagonist

These days it is not easy for an indie game to stand out in terms of visuals, but the relatively recently announced puzzle-adventure Tala has managed to do just that. As you can see in the image above, it features a combination of nature photography and traditional animation, with the end result being downright adorable to behold.

If you're wondering how all of it looks like in motion, however, allow me to share with you the original reveal trailer. It's not very long, but it'll give you a pretty good idea of what Tala is all about. Have a gander, it's well worth the minute:

Besides soaking in the atmosphere, you will also need to venture out on a grand quest to save Tala's mentor, the Town Guardian. In order to do so you will have to solve a variety of hopefully sensible puzzles, do a bit of non-verbal communication with your fellow townsfolk, and even repair a dingy old airplane so you can better explore the world!

As of right now the only release date Tala has is "when it's ready", but what I can tell you is that it will be available on both PC and Mac once it finally launches. You can follow it's development moving forward, as well as check out a few more tidbits I might have missed, by heading over to the official website.

And finally, I'll send you off with a couple of lovely screenshots, just to give you a better idea of what Tala looks like. Just don't forget to click on the images for the bigger version!
