[Update]: Great news everyone! The new and improved Slay the Spire 2 is coming in 2025!

After spending a surprisingly long amount of time in beta testing, Slay the Spire's fourth character The Watcher has now been released in full. Best of all, The Watcher and her assortment of unique cards are entirely free for both new and old players alike!

When it comes to her playstyle, The Watcher is heavily focused around orchestrating explosive turns where she dishes out tons of damage, followed by periods of calm while she once again assembles her combo. To help with this she has multiple stances that let her build up power and energy, as well as the ability to peek at her deck and re-arrange the upcoming cards to ensure she always gets a good combo off.

Needless to say, this sort of playstyle takes a little while to get used to, but once you figure it out The Watcher becomes really fun (and quite powerful) to mess around with. I'd even go as far as to say that The Watcher has the most viable builds out of any of the current characters, all because of Scry and its ability to filter through your deck in search of just the right cards you need.

Besides The Watcher, the recent update has also added a variety of new items to collect and spice up your gameplay with, as well as an assortment of balance changes to help out the rest of the characters.
