If you're a fan of the old Commandos series, or just strategy games in general, you're in for a treat today! As a part of their daily giveaway, the Epic Games Store is currently offering a free copy of the truly excellent Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun.

Simply head on over to Shadow Tactics' store page, create or log into your account, and then simply claim yourself a copy by going through the 'purchasing' process. That said, I'm unfortunately a bit late with this announcement and so Shadow Tactics will only be free for another couple of hours, so you might want to hurry up and grab it before it goes away.

As for what exactly Shadow Tactics is all about, you can find out by visiting the review I did when it first launched. On the other hand, if you're just looking for the short version, then let's just say that Shadow Tactics is all about taking a squad of highly specialized heroes and then carefully using their unique abilities to break through overwhelming numbers of enemies. You'll need to sneak around, watch enemy patrol routes and pick off any stragglers, and then execute your plan in perfect sequence to ensure that nobody knows you're even there until it's too late.

Needless to say, doing all of that correctly isn't exactly easy, but the sweet feeling of satisfaction once your plan finally succeeds is well worth the struggle. But enough of my rambling!
