Sentry artwork for the tower defense FPS game

Following in the footsteps of Sanctum and Orcs Must Die, Sentry is a freshly announced hybrid between a tower defense strategy game and a first-person shooter. As you might imagine from that description alone, Sentry is all about preparing the field with a brilliant spread of traps, turrets and environmental hazards, and then wildly running around to patch up all of the holes when your plan inevitably goes up in flames!

Should everything go awry and your poor character meet their demise, worry not as death is not the end. Sentry aims to have a push-and-pull campaign where both victories and defeats will only play a small part in the greater scheme of things. This also means that each battle will take place on a different level, which should help keep things interesting.

What these levels look like, as well as what sort of gunplay Sentry has to offer, that you can get a small teaser of through the recently posted trailer. Have a gander:

If all of this looks like something you'd like to sink your teeth into, I'm afraid you're going to have to wait for quite a while to do so. No exact release date has been announced just yet, but you can expect Sentry to land into Steam Early Access at some point in 2023.

For now, however, you can learn more about Sentry and its Early Access plans over at Steam. Enjoy!
