Ruiner is a stylish and fast-paced cyberpunk shooter that will have you slice, shoot, explode, and vaporize your way through hordes upon hordes of heavily armed enemies. As you might expect from a cyberpunk game, in order to make any of this possible you will be given access to a variety of augmentations, hacking tools, high-tech guns, ridiculous melee weapons, as well as a whole bunch of gadgets such as energy shields and dash boosts.

A lot of Ruiner's charm is based on the visuals, music, and action, so rather than waste your time explaining things through words alone, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. Its a little bit... out there, but it should still give you a good idea of just what kind of game you're getting yourself into. Have a look:

I haven't had the time to play it myself, so as always take the following with a few grains of salt, but according to the Steam user reviews Ruiner appears to be a highly enjoyable run 'n' gun, though not without some flaws. The biggest complaint I encountered is the feeling of repetition, which is further amplified by the fact that you'll be fighting the same few bosses multiple times. Furthermore, it would appear that the story is somewhat mediocre and overly stretched out, so if you do decide to grab Ruiner make sure you're doing it because of the brutal combat.

If you would like to learn a little bit more, or just check out some of the other trailers, you should head over to either the official website or Steam. And finally, here's a couple of images, just to set the mood:
