The holiday season may be over, but if you're in the mood for just one more gift, you might be interested to hear that the hand-drawn Metroidvania Sundered is now entirely free to grab. Simply head on over to its Epic Store page, log into your account or create a new one, and you'll be out exploring the world (and likely dying) in no time.

The catch, as is tradition at this point, is that the giveaway will only last a short amount of time. So if you're looking to grab Sundered, make sure to do so before January 16th as that's when it'll be replaced by the equally interesting Horace.

As for whether Sundered is worth your time, I'm afraid I can't really give you a straight answer as I haven't played it myself. From what I've read, however, it seems like Sundered is a pretty solid Metroidvania that suffers due to some of the levels being procedurally generated and thus a bit boring to explore. So if you do decide to grab it, make sure to mentally prepare yourself for some of the levels being a simple series of beautifully drawn corridors littered with enemies and not much else.
