Warhammer: Chaosbane screenshot of a grand temple

Warhammer: Chaosbane, much like the Diablo series from which it draws a great deal of inspiration, is a fantasy hack & slash that's all about mowing down large hordes of enemies, messing around with a variety of abilities and classes, and naturally, collecting more loot than even the Warhammer Fantasy races could ever hope to carry.

If that sounds like it's right up your alley, you might be interested to hear that the developers have finally announced a release date for both PC and consoles - June 4th. They have also released a brand new trailer, so if you're wondering what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, you'll hopefully find the answers you seek right below. Have a peek:

While the idea of a brand new Warhammer Fantasy game excites me to no end, I have to admit I am somewhat worried about Warhammer: Chaosbane. The trailers so far have always shown the combat to be a bit floaty and lacking in weight or impact, and this latest trailer has done little to quell such thoughts. Still, there is a couple of months left before the June 4th release date rolls around, so I do hope the developers will manage to get everything polished up and ready to go. After all, the world sure could use more quality ARPGs!

Whatever the case may be, we'll get a much better look at Warhammer: Chaosbane in the near future as the developers are planning to have a beta test phase in both March and April. You can learn a little bit more about this, as well as Warhammer: Chaosbane itself, by heading over to the official Facebook page or Steam.
