Deep Rock Galactic artwork for the fourth season update

[Update #2]: Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a surprisingly challenging roguelite auto-shooter spin-off.

[Update]: Deep Rock Galactic's Space Beach Party event has arrived with festive decorations, silly hats and doubled Battle Pass experience.

After a surprisingly long stretch of teasers and previews, Deep Rock Galactic's much-anticipated Season 4: Critical Corruption has now finally arrived. The free update brings with it a wide assortment of new enemies to shred into tiny little pieces, both variations of existing ones and entirely new creatures. You can also look forward to a gnarly new boss, an arcade cabinet loaded with the classic Jetty Boot game, a whole bunch of improvements and balance tweaks, and most importantly, Jet Boots!

Before you get too excited, it's important to mention that these Jet Boots are only temporary and not a part of anyone's regular equipment. To use them you'll first need to locate a special crate somewhere in a mission, hack it by playing the completely original Jetty Boot mini-game, and then slap them on. Once you've done that you'll be able to fly around to your heart's content throughout that entire mission, and even burn enemies by flying over them!

Much like before, the Season 4 Battle Pass and all of its cosmetic rewards are entirely free for everyone to mess around with. In order to progress all you'll have to do is play the game throughout Season 4 and complete extremely basic missions along the way. It's really as simple as that. And if you end up falling short and don't acquire everything by the end of Season 4, worry not as all of the cosmetic items will be added to the general loot pool.

If you're curious how all of this looks like in action, as well as what else the Season 4 update brings to the table, you'll find what you seek in the developer-narrated overview below. Have a gander:

As for the balance changes and all of the nitty-gritty details, those you can find by checking out the patch notes over at Steam. Have fun with all of the new stuff, and I'll make sure to let you know once the next big update goes live.

Rock and stone!
