City of Brass is a newly released first-person rogue-lite that will have you hack and slash your way through a variety of Arabian Nights themed locales. As such, expect to see richly decorated and colorful cities, forgotten and sand-covered ruins, as well as a whole host of mythological creatures ranging from genies to boring ol' skeletons.

Since trying to explain action games through words alone is a bit of a pointless task, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from City of Brass, both in terms of visuals and gameplay. Oh, and there's even a cameo from Nvidia's Shadowplay in there! Have a gander:

I haven't played City of Brass myself, so as always take the following with a few grains of salt, but from what I can tell it appears to be quite solid. There do seem to be some issues with keyboard & mouse controls, as well as plenty of complaints about the procedural generation, though despite all of that City of Brass still holds a rather impressive 87% approval rating on Steam. So if you're a fan of first-person rogue-lites, and you don't mind ignoring some of the rougher edges, City of Brass might just be worth a look.

You can learn more about City of Brass, as well as follow its development moving forward, by heading over to Steam. Have fun!
