Choo-Choo Charles survival horror game artwork starring a demonic train

Instead of going with the usual suspects like vampires, werewolves or even Lovecraftian abominations, Choo-Choo Charles has decided to push things in a bit of a different direction by making the main antagonist a demonic train! In order to make things fair you'll also have control of your very own train, though without any supernatural abilities at your disposal you'll need to go through the process of collecting resources, weapons and upgrades if you want to stand even a chance at surviving the night.

What all of this insanity looks like in action, that you can check out through one of the gameplay trailers below. Have a gander, it's quite an odd one:

As you would expect from a game made by a single developer, Choo-Choo Charles is both short and a bit janky. Because of this, even though the premise and the actual gameplay are rather well done, Choo-Choo Charles simply isn't the type of game you'll be spending a lot of hours on. In fact, even if you explore everything and really delve into the side quests, chances are you'll be done with Choo-Choo Charles within two or three hours.

So if you're planning to give Choo-Choo Charles a try, make sure you're okay with paying a bit of a premium (€20) to experience something new and unusual. Whether Choo-Choo Charles is actually worth that time and money, however, that's something only you'll be able to answer.

Whatever your thoughts on the matter may be you can learn more about Choo-Choo Charles, as well as check out some of the player reviews, over at Steam. Enjoy!
