Little Inferno artwork and logo for the classic indie 'puzzle' game

These days indie games are everywhere, and you'd be hard pressed to find a niche that hasn't already been covered by at least a dozen different games. However, back in the early 2010s the gaming landscape was much different, and only the most unique, interesting and lucky indie games managed to punch through the crowd and get noticed.

One of these indie games was Little Inferno, a charming yet satirical adventure where the entire point was to light every single thing you could on fire. Things really didn't get more complex than that, but thanks to the lovely presentation and surprisingly memorable story, Little Inferno ended up being a rather mesmerizing experience.

With all of that in mind, I'm happy to say that the Tomorrow Corporation team has decided to return to Little Inferno for its tenth anniversary! Best of all, they have not done so empty-handed, but rather with a brand new expansion in tow!

The recently released Ho Ho Holiday DLC brings with it a new catalog of toys just begging to be thrown onto the pyre, a 'scary' new holiday story, a mysterious new character, as well as a whole host of new combos to uncover as you feed the flames. What this looks like in action, however, that you can check out through the trailer below:

Before you decide whether to indulge in your pyromania it's important to mention that the Ho Ho Holiday expansion, much like the base game itself, is a short and fairly straightforward adventure. So if you're planning to pick up either, make sure you do it for the unique experience rather than actual gameplay, as the latter will only last you a couple of hours at best.

You can learn more about Little Inferno and its Ho Ho Holiday expansion over at Steam. Have fun burning things!
