Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth dragon fight screenshot

After a rather productive year in Steam Early Access, the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night inspired Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth has now been released in full. The launch version brings with it two brand new Stages with their own bosses, secrets and items to collect, as well as a whole bunch of quality-of-life improvements based on recent feedback.

What that looks like in actual gameplay, however, you can find out through the freshly posted launch trailer. Have a gander as the Castlevania comparison will make a whole lot more sense afterwards:

In terms of quality, I'm happy to say that Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a rather solid Metroidvania and a great homage to Castlevania as a whole. Unfortunately, much like Symphony of the Night, Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a bit on the easy side of things, especially if you're a veteran of the genre.

So if you're looking for a challenge that will keep you glued to the screen for hours on end, I'm afraid you won't find that here. Still, Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a pretty fun experience, and if you're looking for a Metroidvania to sink your teeth into, it's one that's well worth checking out.

You can do so, as well as read some of the user reviews, over at Steam. Have fun!
