As you might expect from a game that touts itself as a spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment, the world in Torment: Tides of Numenera has quite an extensive backstory and tons of interesting lore to uncover. Figuring all of this out when you're still new to the game is not the easiest of tasks, however, so the developers have decided to create a brief video introducing players to the world and the main story.

So if you're looking forward to playing Torment: Tides of Numenera, and would like to learn a couple of spoiler-free tidbits of information before diving in, make sure to check out the video. Have a look:

Torment: Tides of Numenera is currently in Early Access, and with the official release set for February 28th I would recommend waiting before grabbing yourself a copy, even if this story premise has you excited. This isn't because Tides of Numenera is bad, as you'll see in my beta review I actually think its pretty damn good, but there are still some annoying bugs and issues that might negatively affect your playthrough. As such, allow me to once again recommend you wait for the official release date as there is going to be a major patch around launch day.
