Hand of the Gods: Smite Tactics, formerly known as just Smite Tactics, is a 1v1 strategy game with a variety of card game elements thrown in for good measure. After being in Closed Beta for quite a while now it would appear that Hand of the Gods is now finally ready for a public release.

As with most other CCGs these days Hand of the Gods is built from the ground up with esports in mind. In order to kickstart the whole competitive scene, and also provide some incentive for high-level play, Hi-Rez has announced a $50k tournament that will take place at the Hi-Rez Expo next year. There will also be an open qualifier for the tournament, so even if you weren't invited you will still have a chance to test your mettle against the very best, and potentially even nab the grand prize itself.
