Diablo 4 Season of the Malignant artwork and logo

In order to sort out the mess left over from the rather unfortunate Season 1 update, the Diablo 4 team has just recently unleashed Patch 1.1.1. It brings with it some nifty buffs to all of the classes but especially Barbarians and Sorcerers, an increase in monster density for Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides, as well as a drastic increase in late-game boss health in order to make them more of a challenge.

To compensate for the increased level of difficult, Patch 1.1.1 has also made bosses, Treasure Goblins and Legion events more rewarding. Bosses and Legion Events will now always drop a Legendary item from level 35 and onward, while Treasure Goblins will do so from level 15. As such, finding those build-defining Aspects should be a lot easier now.

The good news doesn't end there, however, as Patch 1.1.1 has also reduced respec costs for high level characters, as well as given everyone the option to buy an additional stash tab with in-game gold. And in order to further help players experiment with different builds and playstyles, a follow-up hotfix has made Wrathful Hearts a lot more common as well.

Combine this with a bunch of bug fixes, general tweaks and quality-of-life improvements, and you've got yourself a pretty solid update. If I'm perfectly honest this is what the Season 1 patch should've been from the very start instead of the mess we actually got, but I suppose it's better late than never.

Once the next notable update arrives, most likely at some point next week, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can check out the full list of changes for Patch 1.1.1 over at the official website. Enjoy, it's a good one!
