If you've become hooked on For Honor during the two previous 'beta' events, you'll be glad to hear to you won't have to wait for long before you dive in again. On February 14th, or more specifically at 9pm PST/6am CET, Ubisoft's medieval murderfest will finally be unleashed upon the world.

In order to drum up a bit of excitement, and also show tidbits of the singleplayer campaign, Ubisoft has recently posted the launch trailer... which then promptly bugged out and is currently unplayable. Thankfully the folks over at GameSpot have uploaded their own version, so you can still check it out while Ubisoft works out the kinks on their side. Have a look, there's even a random elephant in there somewhere:

Street Fighter 5's character Kolin striking a battle pose

After first appearing in Street Fighter 3 as an assistant of Gill, Kolin will be joining Street Fighter 5's ever-expanding roster of characters on February 28th. As for her fighting style, Kolin is primarily focused around using the opponent's momentum against them, always ready to counter attack should an opportunity present itself. And she can also shoot ice out of her hands and feet... because why not!

If you're wondering about Kolin's backstory and her moveset, you'll find a brief overview in the recently posted reveal trailer down below. Have a look:

Overwatch First Strike graphic novel official cover art

Even though you probably won't notice this just by playing the game, but Overwatch has a surprisingly deep and interesting lore surrounding it. There are a couple of tidbits of information hidden throughout in-game dialogues, but most of the story is through either fancy cinematics such as the Genji vs Hanzo one, or through a variety of comics that focus on certain groups of characters. If you would like to give a couple of them a shot I would recommend checking out Old Soldiers featuring Reaper, Soldier 76 and Ana, as well as Reflections which showcases the tragic side of some of our 'heroes'.

The reason I'm mentioning all of this is because Overwatch will soon be getting another wave of story content, most likely spanning the entire year! The details are currently a bit scarce as all of this comes from a brief post by the Lead Writer Michael Chu, but its still exciting news nonetheless. Here's the full quote:

Darkest Dungeon Radiant Mode update official artwork

I have expressed my love for Darkest Dungeon numerous times now, but with every single recommendation I also had to add a disclaimer: only grab it if you're willing to endure some truly painful grinding. Unless you're an expert that has previously beat then game there is simply no way you're going to crawl through the whole campaign without losing a fair share of your best followers, all of which will then need to be replaced through an annoyingly tedious process of leveling and stat-fiddling.

Thankfully, the most recent update has finally fixed this issue by adding a brand new game mode - Radiant Mode. In the most basic terms, Radiant Mode offers exactly the same challenging gameplay as the vanilla Darkest Dungeon, but with a couple of alterations to reduce mid and late game grind. You're still going to lose followers left and right, that's simply the nature of Darkest Dungeon, but there will be multiple ways to quickly get experienced recruits outfitted and ready to go.

If you're interested in all of the details you'll find the full patch notes over at Steam, but if you're just interested in the new Radiant Mode and freshly reworked New Game+ you can find all of the details down below:

Total War: Warhammer's official Battle Map Editor screenshot

Creative Assembly recently opened up the beta for Terry, Total War: Warhamer's Battle Map Editor that allows you to create pretty much any type of battle map. It features all of the props and environment models from Total War: Warhammer, as well as a full library of SFX and VFX for you to toy around with. But most importantly, all of this is linked to the Steam Workshop so sharing and downloading user-created maps is going to be as easy as a single click of a button.

The only issue I had with the original announcement was the simple fact that user-created maps could only work in custom and multiplayer battles. In other words, you couldn't create new types of sieges and then put those into the campaign to spice up your playthrough. Well, according to the latest announcement, this is no longer the case!

Sniper Elite 4's official artwork

Sniper Elite 4 is an upcoming World War 2 shooter that's all about creatively dispatching whole boatloads of Nazis. You can use the titular sniper rifle in order to take them out from afar, use your trusty combat knife in order to remain stealthy, place a whole bunch of traps if you don't feel like doing all of the work yourself, or just go berserk by throwing around bombs and bullets like they're going out of fashion.

In order to demonstrate all of this madness in action the developers have just released the "Timing is Everything" launch trailer. There is zero actual gameplay on display, but if you're up for ridiculously over-the-top action then you're probably going to find it quite enjoyable. Have a look:

Overwatch Roadhog hooking Zenyatta

Roadhog's hook has recently been reworked in order to be produce more consistent results, both for Roadhog and his victims. While this was supposed to leave Roadhog at around the same power level as he was before, in reality it actually made him much better because he suddenly gained the ability to easily one-shot Reaper and Mei - two heroes that are supposed to counter him. And since no hero is supposed to be stronger than his hard-counters, it was only a matter of time before Roadhog got visited by the almighty nerf fairy.

In the upcoming PTR patch Roadhog's weapon spread is going to be decreased by 20% in order to make his damage more consistent, and in order to compensate for this buff his hook will now pull targets to a location 3.5 meters away (instead of 2) and will have a 2 second longer cooldown. If you're interested in all of the details, and also the minor buff Winston is getting, I'll post the full patch notes down below. Have a look:

Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City ruined castle screenshot

For those of you that might not know, The Ringed City is going to be Dark Souls 3's second and last piece of DLC, but perhaps most importantly, it will also be the grand finale of the entire Dark Souls franchise. There will still be more Souls-like games in the future, but FromSoftware has made it quite clear that they are done with Dark Souls for now.

With all of that introduction now out of the day, let's get down to the fun stuff! You'll find The Ringed City gameplay trailer right below, but before you dive in its important to mention that it does feature a couple of minor spoilers. Its nothing lore related, but it does showcase one boss and a couple of deadly traps, so I figured I should warn you anyway. If you don't mind such things, here's the video:

Total War: Warhammer Bretonnia screenshot featuring Fay the Enchantress

If you're a fan of overly fancy knights based on medieval France you'll be delighted to hear that Bretonnia will be joining Total War: Warhammer's rapidly expanding faction roster on February 28th. Bretonnia is technically already available in game, but it isn't really fleshed out so you cannot choose it as your starting faction on the campaign map.

Once it does become fully available, however, Bretonnia will come with three Legendary Lords (King Louen Leoncoeur, Alberic of Bordeleaux and the Fay Enchantress), a variety of unique quests that relate to each specific Lord, as well as a whole bunch of updated units to toy around with. Basically, it will bring with it everything you expect to see from a 'proper'Total War: Warhammer faction.

If you're itching for a bit of medieval mayhem, you're in luck as the For Honor Open "Beta" has now begun. The reason I'm using quotation marks around beta is for the simple fact that we're currently less than a week from release, so whatever issues Ubisoft does manage to discover during this beta test are most likely not going to be fixed by February 14th. That said, this is a great way to demo For Honor without actually putting any of your money down, so make sure to pick your favorite faction and head on over to Steam.

And for those among you that know very little about For Honor, allow me to show you the recently posted 360° trailer. It won't really demonstrate what the gameplay is like, but it should give you a pretty damn good idea. Anyway, here's the video:
