Total War: Warhammer 2 campaign map of High Elf lands

During the initial Total War: Warhammer 2 announcement Creative Assembly stated that the new campaign map will be equal in size to the original, if not slightly larger. As you'll see in the full image down below, they were not joking! Total War: Warhammer 2's campaign map is just ridiculously large, both in terms of territories and the factions that inhabit them.

So if you're interested in a bit of a sneak peek at what the New World will look like, you'll find what you seek right below. The image is fairly large in size, however, so you'll have to open it in a new tab in order to get a really good look at it. Anyway, here it is:

BioShock Remastered screenshot of the lighthouse in the dark

Despite releasing on PC and consoles back in the ancient times of 2016, BioShock Remastered will soon be making its way to Mac as well. To be more specific, you can expect the Mac version to arrive next week, on August 22nd! Much like the PC version it will bring with it greatly improved textures and model quality, full controller support, director's commentary featuring Ken Levine an Shawn Robertson, Challenge Rooms to test your combat skills, and naturally, support for all of the modern resolutions.

As is tradition for the vast majority of AAA ports these days, the Mac version will not be handled by the developers themselves, but rather by Feral Interactive. You'll probably know them better from their work on the Mac and Linux ports of Total War: Warhammer, XCOM 2, Dawn of War 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and the list goes on for quite a while. In other words, they know what they're doing when it comes to ports, which is a good thing indeed since the PC version of BioShock Remastered was and still is a bloody mess. Hopefully the ridiculously long delay means the same fate will not befall the Mac version as well.

Prey screenshot of the shapeshifting aliens

[Update]: The Steam version of Prey has now removed the somewhat controversial Denuvo DRM.

Arkane Studios' Prey released a couple of months ago to some overwhelmingly positive reviews from both critics and users. Despite its favorable review scores Prey quickly disappeared from the public's eye, so quickly in fact that a lot of people didn't even realize it launched at all. I haven't had the time to play it myself so I'm not certain what caused this, but its a rather peculiar phenomenon to be sure.

Thankfully, there is now a free demo available, so if you're interested in finding out what Prey is all about you now have the opportunity to do just that. If you're on PC simply head on over to Steam to download the free demo, while those of you on consoles should visit your official marketplace. As you might expect, the demo will let you experience the entire intro section, which should be more than enough time to decide whether this is something you're going to enjoy or not.

Conan Exiles The Frozen North expansion screenshot of a mammoth hunt

If you've managed to complete pretty much everything there was to do in Conan Exiles, you'll be glad to hear that a brand new and quite massive free expansion has now arrived. Besides increasing the world map by around 70%, The Frozen North expansion has also added a variety of new and deadly enemies to square off against, a brand new god to worship and summon against your enemies, hostile environments and weather to overcome, new crafting disciplines such as brewing, giant and extremely fluffy mammoths to hunt, and the list goes on for quite a while.

You can check out what most of these new features look like in-game via the recently posted launch trailer. Its not overly long or detailed, but it should still give you a good idea of the direction Funcom is taking Conan Exiles in. Have a look:

Destiny 2 official artwork

Destiny 2's console betas have long since come and gone, but soon the gates will be opening once more, though this time around to PC players. The Early Access phase (for those that have pre-ordered Destiny 2) will begin on August 28th, while everyone else will be able to hop into the Open Beta on August 29th. As with the console version, the PC Open Beta will only last for a couple of days, until August 31st.

In terms of content you can expect to see the beginnings of Destiny 2's story campaign, a three-player cooperative Strike by the name of Inverted Spire, as well as a bit of competitive multiplayer spread across two 4v4 game modes. If you're wondering what all of this might look like, here's the recently posted teaser trailer showcasing the PC version of Destiny 2. Have a gander:

Total War: Warhammer 2 artwork for the Skaven lord Thanquol

After many months of tiny little teasers Creative Assembly has now finally and officially confirmed that the ravenous hordes of the Skaven will be the fourth launch faction for Total War: Warhammer 2. More importantly, they immediately followed this announcement with not only the cinematic intro, but also a rather revealing in-engine trailer!

So if you're interested in seeing what the Skaven will be aiming for the in the grand campaign, and what sort of units they will field in order to do so, you'll find the two videos right below. Just make sure to watch the in-engine trailer all the way to the end as the Hell Pit Abomination might just be one of the most disgustingly awesome units Creative Assembly has created so far. Anyway, here are the videos:

For Honor: Season 3 Grudge and Glory artwork and logo

In an effort to fix some of the rampant glitch abuse, as well as bring a much needed breath of fresh air into For Honor, Ubisoft has just now released Season 3. It has brought with it two new characters (Highlander and Gladiator), two new maps, a new Legendary tier of gear, new territories on the world map, a whole bunch of balance changes and gameplay tweaks, and the list goes on for quite a while.

If you're just interested in the short version, and more importantly why Ubisoft is even making these types of changes, you'll find what you seek in the recently posted preview video right below. Have a look:

Dauntless screenshot of a hammer jump

Dauntless is an upcoming action-RPG that's all about hunting down gigantic monsters with equally gigantic weapons, carving said monsters up, and then using their spikiest body parts to create even more ridiculously impractical weaponry. Its quite obviously inspired by Monster Hunter, but the big question is, can it actually compete with the series that started the entire genre?

If you're interested in finding out the answer, you'll be glad to hear that the developers have recently given a bunch of people early access in order to show off what Dauntless is all about. So if you have a bit of free time, and you love watching bizarre dinosaurs get smacked around with giant hammers, you'll find the playlist right below. Have a look:

Total War: Warhammer's Throgg in battle

Norsca and its accompanying hordes of warp-twisted creatures arrived on PC last week alongside a massive free update. The Empire AI has been given the entire province of Reikland in order to ensure they actually reach the end-game, Chaos forces now replenish more quickly and are able to subjugate Norscans more easily, some of the underutilized Legendary Lords have received much needed buffs, and the list goes on for quite a while.

If you're on Mac or Linux and you're looking forward to trying out the demonic vikings, you'll be glad to hear that your version of Total War: Warhammer will receive the Norsca update on August 24th. This will also include the 30 new regiments of renown - powerful and unique units for the Beastmen, Bretonnia, Chaos Warriors, Norsca, and Wood Elves factions. Much like the PC version, all of these extra units will arrive free of charge.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole screenshot of Coon & Friends

After a rather lengthy period of silence Ubisoft recently announced that South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be coming to PC and consoles on October 17th. Despite what appears to be quite a long time spent in development hell, The Fractured But Whole is thankfully going to have a properly optimized PC port, as noted by recently revealed PC System Requirements.

However, instead of simply listing out the minimum and recommended configurations and calling it a day, Ubisoft has decided to take things a step further by explaining what sort of performance you'll be able to achieve with each set up. So if you're interested in seeing what it takes to run South Park: The Fractured But Whole you'll find the PC specs and recommended graphics cards right below. Have a look:
