Shadow of War screenshot of a flaming Balrog

Given how the best feature in Shadow of Mordor was the Nemesis system, it really shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Shadow of War will be putting even more emphasis on it. There will be a greater variety of Orcs to mess around with, you will be able to either recruit or straight up kill them, assign the loyal ones different types of roles, and the list goes on for quite a while.

While the recently posted interactive trailer won't exactly tell you how this system works in-game, it should give you a pretty damn good idea of what the new Nemesis system is all about. You can find the full 'adventure' over at the official website, but for now here's the trailer just so you know what you're getting yourself into:

Heroes of the Storm artwork featuring Volskaya Foundry, Ana, and Junkrat

Given how many Overwatch heroes have already made themselves comfortable in the Nexus, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Blizzard has just announced a few more Overwatch-themed additions for Heroes of the Storm. While the full patch notes haven't been revealed just yet, the upcoming update will bring with it Ana and Junkrat as playable heroes, as well as new map themed after the 'fan-favorite' Volskaya Industries.

Along with this announcement Blizzard has also released a very anime-like cinematic trailer that offers a rather good look at the new heroes and cosmetics. Have a gander, its well worth the few minutes, even if you're not a massive fan of Heroes of the Storm:

Raiders of the Broken Planet screenshot of an imminent ambush

Raiders of the Broken Planet is a 4v1 action-orientated shooter that lets you experience both sides of the story: one as the Raiders fighting against some sort of space-demon, and the other as one of the demon's chosen commanders. In other words, you can either team up with fellow players and attempt to beat down the forces of evil, or just join them and try to crush the Raiders before they get out of hand.

While the recently posted trailer won't really give you an idea of what the gameplay is like, it will at least show you the style and atmosphere Raiders of the Broken Planet is aiming for. Have a look, its quite visually interesting:

Resident Evil 4 screenshot of the crazed villagers

While it still follows the same formula as the other Humble Bundles, the most recent bundle is a rather special example as it features games from three different publishers rather than usual one. As you can probably guess from the title, the publishers in question are Capcom, Sega, and Atlus.

In terms of games this means you can grab Sonic Adventure 2, Bionic Commando, Resident Evil 4, Dead Rising, Sonic Generations, and more - all in one neat package. You can find the full list of games, as well as the tier they appear in, down below. Have a look:

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider screenshot of Billie Lurk looking quite cool

[Update]: Thanks to a partnership between Bethesda and GOG, the entire Dishonored series and the first two modern Wolfenstein games are now available DRM-free.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is a standalone adventure that will have us plan and execute the most ambitious (and probably suicidal) assassination the world has ever seen: getting rid of the Outsider! In order to make this even remotely possible we'll be given access to a variety of new weapons, gadgets and powers, as well as the help of the always-awesome Daud.

While the recently posted launch trailer won't give you a detailed overview of everything Death of the Outsider brings to the table, it should still be enough to let you know what kind of game you're stepping into. Have a look:

Total War: Warhammer 2 screenshot of Lord Mazamundi from the trailer

With Total War: Warhammer 2 just around the corner Creative Assembly has started releasing a barrage of videos showing off the vast majority of new features. Just the past few weeks alone we got a campaign preview for the Dark Elves, a battle between the Dark Elves and High Elves, then a campaign preview for the High Elves themselves, and now the Lizardmen are getting the same treatment.

So if you're interested in seeing what the Lizardmen are all about, or what sort of spells Lord Mazamundi has at his disposal, you'll find the most recent "Campaign Let's Play" right below. Have a look, its quite interesting:

Okami HD screenshot of a hillside and a beach

Okami is an action-adventure quite similar to The Legend of Zelda series, though with a couple of unique twists that really set it apart from the rest of the genre. What I mean by this is that you play as an adorable wolf god with some rather potent powers that can only be unleashed by literally painting them into existence! It sounds quite silly right now, especially if you've never played Okami, but its a surprisingly enjoyable mechanic.

So if you've never laid your hands on Okami, or if you're itching for a version with even prettier visuals, you'll be glad to hear that Okami HD has now been announced. Since a lot of Okami's charm is based on its visuals and atmosphere, I'd recommend you check out the recently posted trailer down below. Have a look:

Plains of Eidolon screenshot of a shopkeeper

During the recent TennoCon convention Warfarme developers announced a whole bunch of new and upcoming features. You can expect to see the usual batch of new weapons, Warframes, Prime Warframes, and cosmetics, though all of that pales in comparison to the Plains of Eidolon - a brand new expansion centered entirely around MMO-like open-world content with plenty of replayability.

The first of these massive open-world zones will be the Plains of Eidolon, an area populated by traditional enemies such as the Grineer during the day, and rather enormous monstrosities known as the Eidolons throughout the night. If you're wondering what all of this nonsense might look like in-game, wonder no more as the Warframe developers have now released an extended gameplay preview. Have a look, its quite interesting:

Overwatch screenshot of Tracer looking very smug

I have no idea why today is so special, but quite a few games have just announced free weekends or giveaway. The multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight is having a free weekend, the original Psychonauts is completely free to grab from the Humble Store, Ubisoft is running a free weekend for The Division, and now Blizzard is joining the fray with the biggest game of them all - Overwatch.

However, while the previously mentioned offers are valid for this weekend, the Overwatch free trial has been scheduled for the next one. To be more specific, you'll be able to test out everything Overwatch has to offer from September 22-25 on both PC and consoles. And if you end up buying it, all of your progress and earned Loot Boxes from the free weekend will carry over to the full version, provided you got it on the same account.

Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City screenshot of a sunset

The Dark Souls series represents some of my favorite games of all time, and despite finishing each of them multiple times I am always eager to jump back in and see what sort of silly build I can pull off. As such, I am very happy to say that both Dark Souls 2 and 3 are currently massively discounted on Steam, and will remain discounted until Monday, September 18th. So if you ever wanted to give the series a try, now would be the best time to do so!

As a part of the Bandai Namco publisher week Dark Souls 3 is 60% off and will set you back €24, while you can grab Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the Sin Edition (including all of the DLC) for a rather low €10. If you're going to grab only one I would suggest you go with Dark Souls 2 simply because its cheaper. Both games are excellent in their own way, however, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you choose.
