World of Warcraft Dragonflight expansion artwork showing off Alexstrasza

[Update #2]: The heavily exploration focused Dragonflight expansion has now arrived, and so far it's looking quite good!

[Update]: Wrath of the Lich King Classic, the very peak of the original WoW era, has now been unleashed.

After spending a fair bit of time in testing, it looks like World of Warcraft's seemingly down-to-earth and exploration focused Dragonflight expansion is now nearly ready to be unleashed. You can expect to see it arrive on November 28th, 2022 alongside a new draconic class/race combination, the Dracthyr Evoker, massively expanded talent trees, new Guild Wars 2 inspired flying mounts, and naturally, a whole host of new zones and dungeons to pillage for delicious loot.

What all of this looks like in action, that you can get a little bit of a sneak peek at through the release date trailer below. Have a gander:

In order to celebrate the upcoming expansion, World of Warcraft will be running a 50% bonus experience event from October 4th until the start of the pre-patch. The latter's exact date has not been announced just yet, but given how the recent rumors have been correct about both Wrath of the Lick King Classic and Overwatch 2, it's highly likely that the Dragonflight pre-patch will be going live on October 25th.

Once more information becomes available, or the pre-patch simply goes live, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, have fun leveling new characters!
