Warhammer: Vermintide 2 screenshot of slayer Bardin in action

After going through quite a few closed beta tests, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has now finally made its way to PC. It brings with it the same skill-based combat system the original was famous for, three new specializations for each of the five heroes, a variety of new weapons and items to mess around with, a whole host of new enemies, and naturally, a bunch of new maps to explore.

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, allow me to share with you two of the most recent trailers. The first one is a very tabletop inspired video showing off what Vermintide 2's world and characters are all about, while the second one is a purely gameplay focused video that will let you know how it actually plays like. Have a look, it's well worth the few minutes:

As for whether Vermintide 2 is any fun to play, I would say the answer is a definitive yes. You can find out more in my most recent preview article, but long story short, it is a proper sequel in every sense of the term. It carries on everything that made the original good, while also adding a whole bunch of new content and general improvements to spice things up. There are still some noticeable flaws, naturally, but for €28 I genuinely think that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is well worth grabbing.

If you prefer getting your information from official sources, however, make sure to visit either Steam or the Vermintide website. As for the console versions, they will be coming at some point later this year, though no official release date has been announced just yet.

Once the developers have something to reveal they're going to do it through their official blog, so if you're interested make sure to keep an eye on it. And with that said, have fun and good luck with all of the new loot!
