Valorant artwork for agent Killjoy

[Update]: The newest patch has added Agent Killjoy, deathmatch, and Raze nerfs!

If there is one thing FPS players seem to universally hate, it would be automated turrets. This is a fact that even the Valorant developers themselves are clearly aware of given that the newly announced and turret-placing Agent is rather cheekily named Killjoy.

When it comes to abilities, Killjoy has the aforementioned turret that can cover a fairly large area, though its damage output is thankfully not all that high. If that's just not enough protection for you, however, Killjoy also sports a stationary alarm bot that can explode and make enemies more vulnerable to damage, thus directly synergizing with both the turret and Killjoy herself.

Her third ability is a remote bomb that can be detonated at will in order to deal continuous damage over a fairly large area - perfect for defending a spike plant. And finally, Killjoy's ultimate is a 150 health device that requires 13 seconds to detonate, after which enemies within its blast will no longer be able to shoot or use their abilities! This might sound ridiculously powerful, but 13 seconds is a fair bit of time to hunt down and destroy a large device, all on top of this being a slow-charging ultimate ability.

You can get a little bit of a sneak peek at what all of these abilities look like in action, as well as how big the ultimate's range is, through the freshly posted trailer. Have a gander:

I'd love to tell you more, but I'm afraid that's pretty much it for now. You can keep track of any further info, as well as learn more about Valorant itself, over at the official website.
