In celebration of the recently released standalone expansion Aiko's Choice, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun devs have now decided to give away the original for free! So if you're in the mood for a Commandos inspired mixture of stealth and strategy, simply head on over to GOG to grab yourself a copy.

The giveaway will only last for another two days, however, so do make sure to add Shadow Tactics to your account before it's too late. The process is fairly simple, and once you've done it you'll be able to install and play Shadow Tactics whenever you want, so I'd definitely recommend doing it before you forget.

As for whether Shadow Tactics is even worth your time, I would say the answer is an easy yes. I've gone into more details about this in my review back when it first launched, but Shadow Tactics is one of the finest strategy games I've played over the past few years and one that managed to occupy all of my attention until I finally completed it. So if you're a fan of the genre, Shadow Tactics is well worth trying out, and especially while it's free!
