Overcooked! 2's Sun's Out, Buns Out update artwork and logo

[Update]: Overcooked! 2's free Moon Harvest update has baked a sizable batch of new content.

Even though it already has a rather sizable amount of content, the Overcooked! 2 team has just now released a brand new batch for everyone to enjoy! The free Sun's Out, Buns Out update brings with it two downright adorable canine chefs, a variety of summer recipes to help you cool off, five new kitchens to completely ruin, as well as fireworks, confetti and festival floats to help spice all of that up!

You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this nonsense looks like in gameplay terms, as well as just how charming it all is, through the newly posted trailer. Have a peek:

If you're a fan of point & click adventure games, especially the oldschool ones, then you might be interested to hear that Beyond a Steel Sky has now finally been released. As the name would suggest, Beyond a Steel Sky is a modern sequel to the legendary (and still entirely free) Beneath the Steel Sky that hails all the way back from 1994.

As for what exactly it's about, it's probably best to describe Beyond a Steel Sky as a cyberpunk adventure that will have you explore the usual assortment of themes like corruption, total surveillance, artificial intelligence, and the cost of freedom. Besides these rather heavy themes, you can also expect to see a fair bit of witty and humorous dialogue, as well as plenty of puzzles to wrack your brain against.

If you're in the mood for some time-bendy shooty action, you might be glad to hear that Superhot's standalone expansion Mind Control Delete has now arrived. It brings with it a campaign that's significantly longer than the original game's, increasingly more challenging encounters, more bizarre mysteries to unravel, and naturally, even more skills and techniques to toy around with as you dance across the battlefield.

Perhaps most importantly of all, Superhot: Mind Control Delete is entirely free to everyone that purchased the original Superhot before July 16th! You don't even need to do anything special in order to claim your copy. As long as you actually bought Superhot and didn't receive it through some sort of giveaway, the Mind Control Delete expansion should already be added to your account!

Rogue Legacy 2 screenshot of the broken throne

[Update #2]: After two years in Early Access, Rogue Legacy 2 is set to be unleashed on April 28th, 2022.

[Update]: After a brief delay, Rogue Legacy 2 has now made its way to Steam Early Access!

Rogue Legacy 2 was originally supposed to launch into Steam Early Access this July 23rd, but alas, it has now been delayed until August 18th. The reason, as you might imagine, is that the developers need a little bit more time in order to get everything polished up and ready to go.

"Game development is a lot like football," reads the brief announcement. "It's weird, unpredictable, and we don't know the rules. And just like football, when you get the ball, sometimes you've just gotta run with it."

Wildfire official artwork and logo

As the name would imply, Wildfire is no ordinary stealth game. Instead of spending the entire game moving from shadow to shadow and praying the guards don't glance in your direction, Wildfire allows you to use elemental magic to create new pathways, incapacitate enemies, and obviously enough, cause a gigantic and nearly unstoppable blaze for your opponents to worry about while you slip by unnoticed.

Wildfire released back in late May to some pretty solid reception, and after collecting a variety of feedback, the appropriately named Sneaky Bastards studio has now returned with a major update. This very first patch brings with it over 100 fixes, tweaks, improvements and changes, all in an effort to iron out some of the annoying bugs and make the whole experience a lot smoother.

[Update]: Mine Control Delete has now arrived with even more time-bendy shooty action!

Given the massive success of Superhot and its VR incarnation, it really shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that there is a brand new game coming. What might be a rather big shock, however, is that the new Superhot: Mind Control Delete will be entirely free!

Naturally, there is a little bit of a catch. Superhot: Mind Control Delete will be launching this July 16th, and in order to get yourself a free copy, you'll need to purchase the original Superhot before that date. Any sort of free giveaway does not apply in this case, so if you got it through the Epic Games Store for a free a little while back, you'll unfortunately still need to purchase Superhot: Mind Control Delete the regular way.

Monster Crown official artwork and logo

[Update]: Monster Crown has now landed into Steam Early Access with about one third of the final content.

When it comes to Pokemon themed games, despite all of them revolving around gigantic monsters kicking the snot out of each other, they're all pretty much overwhelmingly positive. However, the upcoming Monster Crown is looking to take things in a bit of a different... and darker direction.

Once its fully finished, expect to see around 200 base monsters that you can breed and fuse into more impressive and dangerous forms, a fairly large world to explore, as well as a choice between being the one that will help those in need or simply doom them all in a reckless pursuit of ever-greater power.

Sea of Stars official artwork and logo

If you're a fan of oldschool RPGs, I have both good and bad news. The good news is that the upcoming Sea of Stars is a charming homage to classic turn-based RPGs, though without any of the clunkiness and time-sinks that come standard with games of that era.

As for the bad news, that is entirely related to its release date. Despite Sea of Stars recently launching a fancy new trailer, you'll still have to wait until 2022 in order to properly get your hands on it. A bit of a long wait, but hopefully it'll all be worth it in the end.

Windbound screenshot of the main character resting by a bonfire

Much like the Zelda series from which it seems to draw a great deal of inspiration, Windbound is a colorful and charming action-adventure. As you wonder from island to island you'll need to craft tools and weapons in order to both hunt and defend yourself, slowly but surely upgrade your seacraft to help navigate ever-more treacherous waters, and naturally, try to unravel the mystery behind it all.

You can get a pretty good idea of just what this entails through two of the recent trailers. The first one sets up the mystery and atmosphere, while the second one is a developer-guided preview that's all about the gameplay. Have a peek:

P.A.M.E.L.A. official artwork and logo

After spending a fair few years in Steam Early Access, the Bioshock inspired survival horror game P.A.M.E.L.A. has now officially been released. As you might imagine given its inspiration, P.A.M.E.L.A. will have you explore a fallen utopia, face off against hordes of its mutated inhabitants and malfunctioning robots, improve your own body with bio-augments, and naturally, cover in a corner while hoping the nasties go away!

While there is unfortunately no new trailer showcasing what exactly has improved over the years, you can still get a pretty good impression of what sort of atmosphere P.A.M.E.L.A. is going for through one of the original previews. Have a gander:
