We are the Dwarves, a difficult real-time tactical adventure, now supports local co-op

We are the Dwarves is a brutally difficult real-time tactical adventure that tasks you with escorting a trio of Dwarven Space Marines through a variety of levels filled with traps, enemies, and even more traps. Since each Dwarf has numerous spells and abilities at their disposal, controlling all of them in the middle of combat can become incredibly stressful, even though there is an option to briefly pause time and queue up your actions.
This sort of brutal, punishing difficulty was one of my main complaints when I first reviewed We are the Dwarves, but it appears that the developers have recently found a way to not only correct the issue, but add in a nifty new feature as well. As you can probably guess from the title, this new feature is local co-op that allows you and two other buddies to each control a single Dwarf and accomplish far more than any single person ever could.
Prey for the Gods, a Shadow of the Colossus inspired adventure, has been fully funded on Kickstarter

[Update]: It took a successful Kickstarter campaign, many years in development, as well as a completely pointless name change due to ZeniMax, but Praey for the Gods has now finally arrived onto PC, PlayStation and Xbox!
Prey for the Gods, a Shadow of the Colossus inspired survival-adventure, has managed to surpass its $300,000 funding goal with 9 days left on the Kickstarter clock. With its future now secure, all of the upcoming pledges will go towards stretch goals that include new animations, weapons, bosses, and other such things.
Most importantly, however, the console versions have been completely removed from the stretch goals in order to free up room for more bosses and items... and are now instead a guaranteed feature! If you would like to learn more about Prey for the Gods, here's the official trailer to clue you in on the story and what sort of gameplay you can expect:
Planet Coaster's sizable Alpha 3 update and Steam integration are coming in August

Planet Coaster, the actually good modern roller-coaster tycoon/simulator, has been chugging along nicely in alpha for the past few months and according to the latest announcement, things are soon going to become even more interesting.
On August 23rd Planet Coaster is going to be updated to the Alpha 3 build with plenty of new and unfortunately yet unannounced features, but also the early version of Steamworks and all of the benefits that come with it. While Planet Coaster won't be available for purchase on Steam during this testing period, current and future owners will get a Steam key sent to them via email, after which you'll be able to play it as any other Steam game.
We Happy Few, a dystopian action-adventure, has arrived to Early Access

Its not often that Early Access games pique my interest, but We Happy Few has such a strong premise that I can't help but get intrigued. To put it simply, the action is set in a retro-futuristic 1960's city of Wellington Wells, a city completely ravaged by war and starvation, whose inhabitants live in a drug-fueled state of happiness in order to escape the misery of the real world... or perhaps there is something more going on?
Since the whole concept is hard to explain through a single paragraph, here's the recently posted gameplay trailer to really give you an idea of what We Happy Few looks like, and more importantly, what its all about:
Immortal Treasure III has finally arrived to Dota 2

If you thought The International 2016's $18,500,000 prize pool was already ridiculously massive, you've seen nothing yet as Valve has just unleashed the third and final Immortal Treasure upon the world of Dota 2. Given the quality of the items on offer, I think its safe to say that the prize pool is going to get a couple of million added to it over the next week or so as the lure of hats is far too much for mortal men to resist.
You can find the full list of Immortals, their effects, as well as a brief video of them in action over at the Dota 2 website, but if you're simply wondering which heroes are getting some fancy new cosmetics, here's the list:
Today's Overwatch patch has rebalanced McCree and greatly buffed Ana
- By Ash

Ever since "Fan the Hammer" got nerfed McCree has been on a bit of a slump, so in order to bring the cowboy back into the competitive scene Blizzard issued McCree a buff last week, but unfortunately they decided to buff the one aspect of him that was already scary enough - his revolver. As many have predicted back in the Test Realms, this change skyrocketed McCree from the very bottom to the very top... and then straight through the roof! Things finally culminated during the recent GosuGamers tournament where McCree saw an absurd 99% pick rate among the pros, clearly indicating that the cowboy may have been overtuned ever so slightly.
Thankfully, the Blizzard team that handles Overwatch has been paying close attention to community criticism on not just McCree's absurd damage, but also on Ana's under-performance as a healer, and have quickly issued a brand new patch to bring them both into line. Since the update is fairly small, here are the full patch notes:
Telltale's upcoming Batman series will feature multiplayer
- By Ash
- in News
Telltale's modern adventure games have all been rather engrossing singleplayer experiences, but as anyone that ever played them with a friend by their side will tell you, they become even more enjoyable when you're trying to agree on your next move within the dozen or so seconds the tricky situations offer you.
Naturally, this method only works when you can get everyone into the same room, something that might not be possible these days given that you can have friends from all over the world. Thankfully, it does appear that Telltale is aware of these issues as they have recently announced that their future series, starting with the upcoming Batman one, will support co-op multiplayer by allowing a few thousand people to vote on which decision to make.
